Administration

Administration oversees public works, road services, the airport, fire department, budgeting, and all county-owned buildings.

In addition to the county fire department, there are seven volunteer fire stations in Bacon County.

No building permits are required in Bacon County for areas outside the city limits of Alma.

Trash pickup in the county is provided by Ryland Environmental. To sign up for pickup, or to report a damaged or missing bin, contact Alexis Parkerson in county administration: (912) 632-5214.

The Bacon County Administrator is responsible for implementing the policies of the elected Board of Commissioners, runs the daily operations of the county, and prepares the annual budget.
